Wettenhalls has taken delivery of its 30th Scania prime mover, continuing a fleet upgrade focused on driver safety, lower emissions and reliability.
Wettenhalls continues to upgrade its prime mover fleet. Since late 2017, we have taken delivery of our 30th Scania prime mover.
Safety technology continues to play a key role in all procurement decisions. All the prime movers are fitted with the Scania safety pack. The safety pack includes adaptive cruise control, active emergency braking, lane departure warning, disc brakes with Electronic Stability Control, Electronic Braking System, Anti-Lock Brakes and Traction Control.
The main objectives of the program are to increase the safety of our drivers and the public, increase driver comfort, reduce emissions by replacing prime movers that don't comply to Euro 5 or 6 emissions standards, increase the reliability of our fleet and improve presentation to our customers (and their customers).
Wettenhalls will continue to upgrade and replace our fleet. We already have more prime movers ordered. Over the next year we will have a 100% Euro 5 or 6 emission standards compliant fleet.
